Should the jockey wheels be lubricated or run dry?

Like many here, I did this day one and have never looked back. No question that Brompton overgears their bikes. For most riders, getting up a hill matters more than speeding down it. I'd make low gearing standard and let racers swap to larger chainrings.

The app is much better than reaching for those of us with short arms, that can be tricky. They do need to introduce a handlebar mount for mode/assist changes. The fact that they invested so much in developing the app that pairs with the bike battery and didn’t do a simple handlebar mount is astonishing.😮

Can you do an updated video on setting the hub gearing on a P-Line 12speed? I've found ours has a washer that obscures the window and it is no longer possible to check for 1mm rod clearance when in 2nd gear. What else to look for?

I recently did a gravel ride at Lightning Ridge but without a camera. The bike handled it quite well and i didn't even fall down any mineshafts . Nice video .

Can't you just spin the Quadlock attachment 180 degrees before attaching the camera, it would be further back enabling you to fold the bike?

Another timely video, only yesterday I was researching similar mounts that could handle a Garmin 1000 series / Edge 2 & mount a GoPro (or similar device) and still be fold-friendly. The closest I got was a mount by Trigo that mounts onto the stem bolt w/Garmin mount directly on top (they provide other mounts for Wahoo, Bryton etc). Though an action camera would still have to mounted elsewhere, I’m not keen on a chesty mount. Trigo also do a mount for the GoPro that also mounts to the stem bolt. It’s a pity nobody has yet come up with an out-front mount that mounts in the reverse (so the Garmin is mounted closer toward you) and has a very small out-front mount to take a GoPro and still be fold-friendly, especially if the Garmin mount had a midway fold point controlled by a similar mount to the you showed for rotation. The biggest downside for me is Quadlock’s pricing, though I’ve recently seen some interesting mounts from China, but then I’m sure Quadlock’s stuff must be made there too…

I like the quadlock phone holder for my Brompton and their extensive assortment but would like they to sell spare 3M VHB stickers. They insist you buy a new adapter to get the same standard but my experience is that aftermarket stickers work fine.

Does anyone have recommendations for mounting a Garmin cycling computer on a Brompton? I used to commute using my bike+train+subway but now I live in suburban area and cycle the whole commute so no longer need my phone out for train tickets / subway swipes and am considering a real cycling computer but don’t want to part ways with my trusty quadlock mount.

Any bike frame fitted mount picks up all the road noise, BY FAR the best mount is the GoPro clip mount for rucksack straps, no ‘jiggling’ , no problem

What cycling camera would you recommend for recording accidents?

Lovely ride - is it safe to ride Brompton’s on gravel-ey roads like this from time to time? I plan to get my first Brompton for commuting and errands - the e-bike version later this year, and there are some gravel-ey trails I’d like to ride to get some exercise not just commuting.

I see more and more of these visor helmets. Are they really that good at blocking wind and bad weather?

I had a similar problem attaching a B.O.B. Ibex trailer to a recumbent tricycle. After gaining the correct skewer the length was reduced to a flush yet rounded state with a hacksaw and file. Having no vise to hold the skewer for sawing I instead used vice grips as a handle to immobilize it on the edge of a concrete stair for sawing.

I'm going to attempt this on a (very well used daily) 2016 BB with a Parktool BBT-4 but I've read on older BB's it's possible to shear the cup where it connects to the thread - is this a risk and any tips to avoid it! On your website you sell a Shimano UN-300, is this a suitable replacement for a 2016 Brompton? Thanks!

To be honeset I did it by hearing the sound, just feel it as well, no need to adjust to 1mm in speed 2. But this is a very good video, listen to this lady advice if you fail

Finally I found someone who rides on small wheels with ttailer ❤ I have a question though...did You ever have any problems with the lower part of trailer hiting any rocks or curbs? I am planning to buy a trailer and connect it to my hoptown with 20 inch wheels, Thule answered to my question there may be such problem.

Id be interested in an update showing some of the new portable inflators. I usually carry CO2, but would like to find an alternative that saves me creating waste canisters.

Love your videos, but could you spend a moment longer showing the turns on the limiters and indexer. Left/rights clockwise/anticlockwise don’t make any sense to me, my brain confuses them so it’s easier if I see it, but the close ups in your videos are gone in a flash. Thanks

I can’t be the only one who has a trouble putting on the bracelets. The screw isn’t catching at the bottom. I finally got the bottom one but can’t get the top. When I add the screw away from the bike, it goes right in and catches. This shouldn’t be a problem but it is.
